KARACHI: The police on Saturday failed to arrest the lone dacoit who had walked away with more than Rs1 million after looting a bank in Sakhi Hasan area of Karachi on Friday.
According to police, the efforts were underway to nab the accused.
The motorbike that was in the dacoit’s use during the robbery had been taken on rent, said the police, adding his photos have been sent to NADRA and for criminal record.
The police said records of the accused released from jails were also being checked to identify the lone dacoit.
“According to findings of the initial investigation, the robber is a Burmese national and the police have also grilled the man who had entered the bank soon after the dacoit to withdraw cash”, said police.
The police had also checked the weapons of security guards.
