KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday allowed PPP leader Dr Asim Hussain to travel abroad for medical treatment for a period of two weeks.
The court directed Dr Asim to submit Rs2 million as security and return to the country within 14 days.
Earlier, the PPP leader’s petition said that a medical board had recommended him to undergo a spinal surgery abroad.
Dr Asim, a close aid of former president Asif Ali Zardari, was released on March 31 from a sub-jail setup at the Jinnah hospital. He spent over 19 months in custody.
