‘Allah is the greatest’: Mashal Khan room tells a different story
MARDAN: When you enter the Room no 73 of the hostel at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan campus, you will find a completely different story about Mashal Khan, who was killed by an angry mob over blasphemy on Thursday.
Mashal lived in Room 73, on the 3rd floor of hostel no 1 comprising several other dorm rooms. The mob smashed the door and dragged him out before lynching him to death with sticks and bricks.
The writings on the walls tell the tale of a person with a kind heart and full of love and respect for the Almighty and the Holy Prophet (PBHU). ‘Allah is the greatest and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the messenger of God, reads one of them.
‘In Game of Thrones, You either win or die, there is no other middle ground!,’ reads another.

The walls were also adorned with pictures of noted personalities including one of prominent Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti.

There is no evidence found during the ongoing investigation but police have registered case against several people. The provincial government has announced to conduct a judicial inquiry into the incident.
