Meanwhile, the funeral prayers for Mohammad Mashal Khan, who was lynched by mob, were offered at Zaida village in Swabi district on Friday morning.
A student, Mohammad Mashal Khan, of the Mass Communication Department of Abdul Wali Khan University was killed and five others were injured on Thursday after blasphemous remarks attributed to him and his two colleagues triggered riots in the university.
The unprecedented violence at the sprawling campus of the university prompted the scared administration to close the institution for an indefinite period.
Eye-witnesses and officials told The News that the slain student, Mohammad Mashal Khan, was in his sixth semester.
