MARDAN: Clash among students deteriorated outside Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan campus on Thursday, leaving at least one student dead and five injured in an incident of firing and vandalism.
One University professor is also among the injured.
Police claimed to have detained twenty men, out of which it is still to be ascertained who are enrolled students of the campus and whom were called over from outside.
They further stated the investigation and search for more suspects is still on.
The university campus is to remain closed for unannounced period of time.
