KASUR: Police killed two suspects in an alleged encounter in Kasur late on Tuesday night, officials said.
According to DPO Kasur, Ali Nasir Rizvi, police had picketed near Baba Kamil Shah graveyard where they signalled four suspected persons to stop, however, they sneaked into the graveyard and opened fire on the cops.
He said in the retaliatory fire by the police two suspects were killed while two of their accomplices managed to flee taking advantage of darkness.
The deceased were identified as Mazhar and Liaquat, who were said to be wanted in nearly 40 cases involving serious offences.
The law enforcers have launched a manhunt for the other two accomplices of the deceased.
