Russian military delegation visits Waziristan, lauds Pak Army’s efforts against terrorism
RAWALPINDI: A Russian military delegation headed by Deputy Chief of General Staff ,Colonel General Israkov Sergi Yuryevich, visited Miran Shah, North Wazirastan Agency on Thursday, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to a statement issued by the ISPR, the delegation was briefed about Pakistan Army's efforts to clear tribal areas from terrorists of all hue and colours. The delegation was also briefed about the Pak- Afg border management and socio-economic development projects in the area for enduring stability.
The Russian delegation acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements in fight against terrorism and efforts to bring stability in the region, the statement noted.
The ISPR said Lieutenant General Nazir Ahmed Butt, commander Peshawar Corps accompanied the Delegation.
