ISLAMABAD: Federal interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that in the past foreigners moving around without visa were arrested from various parts of the country and some foreigners held in cities including Gwadar and Lahore were even released.
Talking with media, he said when he spoke on Black Water as opposition leader the former interior minister promised to reply but did not answer.
Chaudhry Nisar added that the airlines in Pakistan have no authority to do their own decisions and they all were fined.
He said that Pakistan ambassador abroad has now no authority to issue visa without any approval by the Government of Pakistan as the notification of 2014 has been cancelled.
The interior minister told that earlier foreigners were coming here without any visa but now the situation has been changed due to online visa system.
He said that he got an approval from the prime minister for separating online visa and immigration from FIA.
