LAHORE: A local court on Monday sought the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)’s comments after a woman filed a petition seeking action against a man whom she accused of operating a Facebook account in her name.
According to a report published in a local daily, Shagufta Rani stated in her petition that her husband kicked her out of his house after finding about the fake Facebook ID, which she said was created to cause her humiliation.
She said Raja Khalil created a fake ID in her name after downloading her photos from original account. Rani said she found out about the fake ID after the accused sent friend request to her brother.
The petitioner said beside ruining her marriage life, the fake Facebook account caused her a lot of humiliation.
According to the newspaper, the FIA has been asked to respond on April 5.
