Khawaja Asif exults at SC verdict, terms Imran Khan 'Phateechar' bowler
ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif rejoiced after Supreme Court of Pakistan dismissed a review petition seeking his disqualification over alleged rigging in election on Monday.
The petition was filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Dar who lost to the PML-N stalwart in the election for the National Assembly constituency NA-110.
The petition was earlier rejected by the SC last year and the PTI member had filed the review petition following the court decision.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar upheld the decision by the apex court from last year, when the Supreme Court had rejected PTI’s appeal against Khawaja Asif.
Khawaja Asif taunted Imran Khan using the slang which the latter used while talking about foreign players who attended the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final Lahore.
“ ALHAMDOLILLAH.2013 lost NA110.lost tribunal, appeal in SC,review in SC.I am still batting, seems IK as bowler is now railu katta& phateecher, " he said in a Twitter message.
