LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chief Of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa on Wednesday discussed the security arrangements for the upcoming Pakistan Super League final to be played in the city.
According to details, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif telephoned army chief Gen. Qamar Bajwa to discuss security arrangements ahead of the Pakistan Super League final to be held on March 5. Shahbaz Sharif told the army chief that it was his priority to remove fear and insecurity that had engulfed people in the country.
The army chief extended his full support to Shahbaz Sharif for holding the match in Lahore. Gen. Qamar Bajwa also asked Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to inform him regarding all the equipment that was needed for the match.
Almost all foreign players from the Quetta Gladiators, including Luke Wright and Kevin Pietersen, have excused themselves from playing in the final owing to security concerns.
