ISLAMABAD: A magnitude 6.0 earthquake jolted upper parts of Pakistan on Tuesday evening, Geo News reported.
According to the Met Office, the earthquake was recorded at 6.0 on the Richter scale.
The epicenter of the quake was bordering region of Tajikistan and its depth was 10 kilometers.
Tremors were felt in Islamabad, Peshawar, Swat, FATA, Chitral, Khyber Agency and various others parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It created panic among the residents of these areas.
No loss of life and property has been reported in the strong tremor.
