LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Tehrik chairman Imran Khan spoke out agaisnt hosting the PSL final in the city again, claiming that staging the final 'carries huge risks with no benefit at all'.
In a series of new tweets, the PTI chairman stated that if the PSL final were to be held in Lahore again and if a mishap occurs, then cricket might not return to the country in the next decade. Imran also called into question the need for hosting the final in a city with extraordinary security, claiming that it would 'exaggerate' Pakistan's security issue.

The PTI chairman had previously spoken out against hosting the final in Lahore, claiming that there would no cricket in Pakistan for the next ten years if fear of blast materialized. The PTI chairman had said decision to hold the final in the wake of deadly bombings was madness.
The PSL T20 tournament is being played in United Arab Emirates and as part of their efforts to restore international cricket in the country Pakistani cricket officials and the government want to hold the final in Lahore.
Gunmen attacked a bus of Sri Lankan cricket team which was part of a convoy on March 3 2009 in Lahore. At least eight people including six po licemen were killed in the attack.
