WhatsApp message about attack on Dolmen Mall is fake: Police official
KARACHI: A recent message circulating on messing application WhatsApp warning people that Dolmen Mall faces the threat of a terrorist attack has been declared as false by a top security analyst and member of the Counter Terrorism Department, on Wednesday.
A recent message has been doing the rounds on WhatsApp, claiming that terrorist are planning to conduct two terrorist attacks in Karachi. The message further claimed that one of the two vehicles laden with explosives would target Dolmen Mall while the other would hit a hotel in Karachi.
However, Omar Shahid, senior superintendent of police (SSP) intelligence of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed that the news was fake and not genuine. He said that via a tweet.

Following the message, people who frequent the mall located at sea view road were on tenterhooks and panicked at the prospect of a terror attack taking place there.
