I love my country and play with dignity: Imad denies match-fixing allegations

DUBAI: Pakistani cricketer and all-rounder Imad Wasim on Saturday denied media reports which claimed that he was involved in the PSL match-fixing scandal involving an international fixing syndicate, on Saturday.

According to details, Imad Wasim tweeted that he always played with dignity and loved his country. The all-rounder denied he was involved in match-fixing, claiming that the news against him was 'totally false'.

"The news against me is totally false, I always played and will play with dignity and pride. I love my country and the respective teams which I play for," he tweeted.

 

Imad Wasim plays for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League. Islamabad United players Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan were provisionally suspended by PCB following an investigation carried out by the ICC in which the two were alleged to be involved in match-fixing. Both players were sent back to Pakistan and were issued show-cause notices.

Sources disclosed that the investigation was on-going and more players could be involved in the PSL match-fixing saga.
