LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik on Saturday said that his party has not yet reached any ‘adjustment’ with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) over the slot of chairman Senate.

Talking to newsmen at Lahore airport, Rehman Malik vowed to prove PPP’s majority in the Senate. Later, talks will be held with PML-N over seat adjustment for the position of chairman Senate, he added.

The former interior minister said PPP was devising a formula to induct the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) into Sindh government to avoid any untoward ‘situation’ in future.

“MQM chief Altaf Hussain and PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari are friends and both the parties will go into Senate polls by forging an agreement over seat adjustment”, Mr. Malik told media.

Commenting on the ‘Islamic State of Iraq and Syria’ (Daesh), Rehman Malik revealed that its pattern and line of action was the same as Ayman al-Zawahiri-led al-Qaeda. Daesh looks all set to carry out it activities in the Middle East, he added.

Expressing disappointment over Pakistan cricket team’s poor performance and defeats in the two opening matches of World Cup 2015, Rehman Malik said the team has broken his heart and it needs to improve the performance.
