KOHAT: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police claimed to have apprehended a key militant affiliated to Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Kohat.
DPO Kohat, Javed Iqbal said police launched action against miscreants in the city and nabbed 68 outlaws. During initial interrogation it was revealed that key TTP terrorist Qari Awaid was among those apprehended.
The provincial government had put Rs500,000 head money on Qari Awaid and his name was included in the red book.
The arrested terrorist was involved in targeting a passenger bus with a remote-controlled bomb that left 14 people dead and several others injured in 2014.
He went underground in Dubai following the bombing.
Police also seized weapons from their custody.
