2 killed, 10 injured as oil tanker catches fire at Super Highway
KARACHI: Two were killed and 10 people suffered burn injuries as a oil tanker located at Super Highway caught fire, on Saturday.
According to details, the oil tanker located at Super Highway Nooriabad caught fire in which 2 got killed while 10 people were burnt. Of the 10 people, seven made it to the hospital for medical treatment themselves, according to the police.
Police further claimed that the oil tanker which caught fire, contained 44,000 litres of petrol. The oil tanker started moving in reverse on an alternate route. Police disclosed that an accident occurred when the brake system of the oil tanker failed.
Edhi sources stated that the injured were sent to Karachi. The flames engulfed four vehicles, including one police mobile as well.
