ISLAMABAD: Six persons of a family killed in the PIA plane crash at Havelian left a girl to mourn their death. She is still in a psychological trauma and is being treated at PIMS.
Haeena Gul, the 14-year-old girl, could not go on travelling with her family due to her exams in Chitral.
After the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had announced to pay a compensation amount of Rs33 million to the only heir of the family, some of her relatives are claiming their right to take her custody.
But Haseena refused to go with them and said that she wants to continue her studies to fulfill her parent’s dream.
She said that her relatives would not let her complete her education if she goes with them. She has made an appeal to the government for help.
According to her family sources, paternal uncle and aunt of Haseena Gul have reached Islamabad to take her back to Chitral where they want to marry her with the aunt's son.
The PIA spokesman, Danial Gilani said that the heirs of every person, killed in the air crash, would be given Rs 500,000.
However the amount could not be paid as various persons are claiming to be relatives of Haseena.
The PIA spokesman said that all necessary steps are being taken to pay the amount to the legal heir of the deceased family members.
