Google's Year in Pakistan Search: Qandeel tops list among celebrities

ISLAMABAD: Google recently announced its Year in Pakistan Search for 2016 and needless to say, singer, model and social media personality Qandeel Baloch topped the list of Pakistani celebrities which were searched on the search engine in 2016. 

Qandeel, who made headlines in 2016 when she was murdered by her brother a couple of months ago in a case of honour killing, was the most searched celebrity on Google in Pakistan. Another artist who was slain this year, Amjad Sabri, came in at number second on the list. Petite singer Momina Mustehsan, whose melodious voice and dazzling looks took the nation by storm, came in at number five while Abdul Sattar Edhi came in at number third and Donald Trump, at number fourth in the list.

Trump's main contender for the US Presidency, Hillary Clinton, also made the list as she came in at number eight while Melania Trump was the ninth most searched person in Pakistan on Google in 2016. DJ Bravo (most likely for his Champion song) took spot number 10.
