ISLAMABAD: Azam Sehgal has resigned as chairman of national flag carrier Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Monday and his resignation has been confirmed by the PIA spokesman.
Azam Sehgal has reportedly resigned from the post of the PIA chairman on personal ground but sources say he was under pressure to step down due to a PIA plane crash last week.
The PIA flight PK-661 crashed in Abbottabad district on way to Islamabad from Chitral, leaving all 47 passengers and crew members dead.
