PIA plane crash: bodies of pilot Saleh, JJ’s wife Nahya identified
ISLAMABAD: Three more bodies of the victims of ill-fated Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane, PK-661 that crashed near Havelian while en route to Islamabad from Chitral, have been identified, officials at PIMS said.
Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) officials said the bodies of pilot captain Saleh Janjua, wife of renowned Naat Khwan, former pop singer and religious preacher Junaid Jamshed and an Austrian citizen have been identified.
They added that forensic teams at PIMS were working round the clock for identification of the bodies.
A total of 12 out of 47 victims have been identified till now.
Sources said Nahya Junaid and Saleh Janjua’s bodies were identified by the examination of their teeth while Austrian citizen’s identification came from artificial joint of his knee.
