ISLAMABAD: Prominent religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the death of Junaid Jamshed, pop star-turn evangelist, and his wife in a plane crash near Abbottabad in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that also killed all 45 other people on board.
Maulana Tariq Jameel is among the mentors of Junaid Jamshed in spreading religion after he quit the music industry.
Tariq Jameel said, “Junaid was a pious person. May Allah Almighty shower countless blessings upon him and give courage to others to follow his footsteps.”
He also prayed to Allah Almighty for granting eternal peace to the departed soul of Junaid Jamshed, his wife and other victims of the ill-fated plane.
A Pakistan International Airlines plane crashed Wednesday on a domestic flight from Chitral to Islamabad, killing all 47 people on board.
