ISLAMABAD: The ill-fated PIA plane, PK-661 that crashed near Havelian while en route to Islamabad from Chitral on Wednesday afternoon, was carrying 47 people aboard - 42 passengers and five crew members.
The passengers included 31 men, nine women and two infants aboard the ill-fated ATR-42 aircraft.
The crew members were pilot captain Saleh Janjua, co-pilot Ahmed Janjua, trainee pilot Aal-e-Akram, airhostesses Sadaf Farooq and Asma Adil.
Renowned Naat Khwan, former pop singer and religious preacher Junaid Jamshed was also aboard the plane. He was travelling with his wife Nahya Junaid to Islamabad from Chitral where he had gone on a preaching tour. Besides, DCO Chitral Osama Waraich was also among the passengers.
