RAWALPINDI: Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer, Commander Joint Operations United Kingdom, called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of army staff (COAS) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Wednesday.
According to the ISPR, during the meeting, regional security issues and matters of professional interest were discussed. The visiting dignitary acknowledged the sacrifices and achievements of Pakistan Army in fight against terrorism and efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region.
Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa assumed command of Pakistan Army on November 29, after his predecessor Gen. (r) Raheel Sharif resigned as the country's 15th Chief of Army Staff.
