Funeral prayers held for MQM worker in Orangi
KARACHI: Funeral prayers were held for Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) worker Danish Kalim who was killed on Thursday. Kalim a member of the MQM’s legal aid committee was gunned down in a targeted attack in the Chisti Nagar area of Orangi Town.
The funeral was attended by several MQM leaders including Qamar Mansoor who said Danish Kalim’s only crime

KARACHI: Funeral prayers were held for Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) worker Danish Kalim who was killed on Thursday. Kalim a member of the MQM’s legal aid committee was gunned down in a targeted attack in the Chisti Nagar area of Orangi Town.
The funeral was attended by several MQM leaders including Qamar Mansoor who said Danish Kalim’s only crime was that he was a member of the MQM. Mansoor further said 40 MQM workers have been killed in Chisti Nagar and there had been no action taken by the government.
On Thursday, MQM Chief Altaf Hussain condemned the killing of Danish Kalim and said Orangi Town had become a hub of Al Qaeda and IS terrorist activities. Altaf Hussain further said none of the terrorists behind killing of the party activists have been arrested yet, adding that the militants can be brought to justice with proper surveillance in Pakistan Bazaar and Chishti Nagar areas.
