SHEIKHUPURA: Three dacoits were killed and two other managed to flee after an alleged encounter in Sheikhupura late on Monday night.
Police said they received a call at 15 that five robbers were looting a passenger bus, travelling from Sialkot to Lahore. The law enforcers besieged the dacoits, present in the bus, at Naiyanwala Farm near Kala Shah Kaku, which triggered a shootout.
In exchange of fire, three dacoits were killed and two others managed to escape.
Police have cordoned off the area and launched search operation.
