Will eradicate corruption in 90 days when elected: Imran

KALAM: PTI chief Imran Khan said on Friday that when elected, his government would end corruption on a large scale in Pakistan within 90 days.

Imran was in Kalam to lay the foundation stone of a 84MW electricity generating project. The PTI chairman said that he was happy to be launching a project which would generate 84MW electricity and said that never was such a large project launched before in Pakistan by a provincial government.

Imran also took to task PML-N and the government for failing to end corruption.

"Whenever elected to power, I will end corruption on a large scale in Pakistan in 90 days," he said.

Imran said that whenever government cracked down on corruption, it resulted in the welfare of the masses. He wondered why investment wasn't coming to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa before his government.

"72 investors have participated in bidding for the investment of six power plants in Pakistan," he said. "The development of the government is restricted to its advertisements only," he taunted.

Imran praised the efforts of his provincial government and said that 34,000 children transferred from private schools to public schools in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He also slammed chairman of FBR as well as NAB chief for protecting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Leaks scandal. Imran stated that it was his right to protest against corruption and that police had resorted to illegal action when it had committed atrocities against PTI workers.
