LAHORE: A Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz lawmaker was looted in broad day light on Thursday as the provincial capital continues to witness a surge in street crimes and violence that killed several people last month.
Geo News reported that Inamullah Khan Niazi, a member of the Punjab Assembly and a cousin of Imran Khan, was deprived of Rs150,000 and a mobile phone in the robbery that took place in a gridlock caused by VIP movement .
Niazi said he was looted when his vehicle stopped at a signal.
According to Geo News, as many as 44 people lost their lives in street crimes and violence that has engulfed the city during the last one and a half month.
