Uber introduces first ever rickshaw service in Karachi
KARACHI: Uber, the American worldwide online transportation company, has come up with a rickshaw service for the very first time in Pakistan. The service is available in Karachi and Karachiites can use it to avoid bargaining hassles and avail the low-cost facility.
The announcement was made by the company yesterday on its website.
"Starting today (November 24), Uber riders in Karachi can request a rickshaw with the convenience and affordability of Uber; forget the hassle of flagging one off the street or negotiating your fare. Simply move the slider to ‘uberAUTO’ and tap ‘request’ – within minutes your rickshaw will arrive and you can pay using cash, or card," read a post on the website.
Uber has come up with the latest initiative to stay one step ahead of Careem, its chief rival and competitor when it comes to online transportation services in Pakistan. Check out the image below to see for yourself the fares the uberAUTO service will charge:-
