Deliberate targeting of civilians unprofessional, unacceptable: COAS

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif held a special meeting at Corps Headquarters Rawalpindi Wednesday to review the situation at the Line of Control (LoC).
The focus of the meeting was on Wednesday’s civil bus attack which resulted in martyrdom of innocent passengers.
According to ISPR, Indian troops targeted a civil Bus near LoC in Neelam valley in which four embraced shahadat while seven were injured.
“Deliberate targeting of innocent civilians was unprofessional and unacceptable,” the Army Chief observed.
Gen. Raheel appreciated the morale of the troops and the most befitting response given by them.
Any future violations must also get instant and effective response, he added.
