Turkish Chief of General Staff meets Pakistan’s military leaders
RAWALPINDI: General Hulusi Akar, Turkish General Staff, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, called on General Rashad Mahmood, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.
The meeting was also attended by General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Chief of Naval Staff, and Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of Air Staff.
"Matters of mutual interest with emphasis on geo-strategic situation and security challenges came under discussion during the meeting. Both sides reaffirmed the resolve to further the bond of friendship and enhance bilateral cooperation between the two Armed Forces," said the statement.
"The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in fight against terrorism," the ISPR said.
