ISLAMABAD: Turkish First Lady visited Faisal Masjid Thursday where she was received by Mayor Islamabad Sheikh Anser Aziz.
She was informed that the Turkish architect had designed the Mosque and it was constructed in collaboration with Saudi Arabia.
Turkish First Lady visited different sections of the mosque and took keen interest in diversified calligraphy of Quranic verses.
The Turkish First Lady said that Faisal Mosque is not only a masterpiece of construction but also a symbol of great Islamic traditions.
She appreciated the calligraphy of Sadequain and painting of renowned artist Gul Gee.
Sheikh Anser Aziz, who is also the CDA chairman, presented a book on Islamabad and commemorative shield to the Turkish First Lady.
