KARACHI: An encounter with unknown armed men in a Landhi raid, left two Rangers personnel dead on Tuesday morning.
According to Rangers officials, a raid was conducted in Khurramabad area of Landhi upon receiving a tip off about the presence of armed suspects belonging to banned outfits.
The suspects immediately opened fire indiscriminately on the Rangers personnel, leaving them critically injured, after which they were shifted to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
According to eye witnesses and residents of the area, about six to seven armed men were firing at the Rangers.
The area was eventually cordoned off by the Rangers and police.
