ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Saeed Ghani expressed his astonishment over Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan’s departure for London after more than 50 people were killed and scores were injured in the Shah Noorani shrine bomb blast on Saturday.
In a statement issued by PPP Media Office Islamabad, Senator Ghani said it was most unfortunate that an irresponsible character was occupying an important ministry in the federal government.
Ghani claimed that his departure for London at such a tragic moment for the country showed his irresponsible attitude. He also claimed that the Interior Minister was a fried to all the terrorist groups and was the biggest hurdle in the implementation of the National Action Plan.
Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has been trading barbs with the PPP leadership these past few days. A couple of days ago, Nisar had clammed Bilawal and claimed that the Bhutto scion insulted people who were much senior than him.
On Saturday, a blast had taken place at a remote Sufi shrine in Balochistan, officials said, with the Islamic State group (Daesh) claiming the attack. The blast hit worshippers participating in a ceremony at the shrine of the Sufi saint Shah Noorani, some 750 kilometers (460 miles) south of Quetta.
