FO summons Indian Deputy High Commissioner to protest

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner on Tuesday to register a strong protest against frequent ceasefire violations across the Line of Control by Indian Border Security Forces. 

According to details, the Foreign Office summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh to protest over India's repeated unprovoked acts of aggression across the Line of Control. During the meeting, members of the Foreign Ministry objected strongly to Indian shelling across the LoC, which was targeting Pakistani civilians. 

Sources disclosed that the matter of the Indian High Commission officials also declared persona non grata for being linked to Indian spy intelligence agency RAW and spying on Pakistan, was also discussed. 

Relations between India and Pakistan have deteriorated over the past few months, ever since the former started subjecting the Kashmiri population to inhumane treatment. After Indian security forces killed freedom fighter Burhan Wani, scores of Kashmiris took to the streets in Srinagar to protest. Indian security forces killed more than 80 innocent civilians and injured thousands through the use of pellet guns. 

Pakistan took up the issue at the United Nations, as PM Nawaz Sharif also condemned the violence in occupied Kashmir during his UNGA address. India blamed Pakistan for the Uri attack, in which 19 Indian soldiers were killed, an allegation vehemently denied by Pakistan. 

Ever since then, frequent violations from India have resulted in the injury and deaths of Pakistani civilians. Pakistan has retaliated to Indian aggression every time.
