Imran wants his workers to stick their necks out: Khawaja Asif
ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that PTI chief Imran Khan didn't come out of his Bani Gala residence for even a single day since he wanted only his workers to stick their necks out for him.
Speaking during Geo News' program Aaj Shahzaib Khanzada Kay Sath on Tuesday, Khawaja Asif said that PTI chief Imran Khan did not lead with example since he didn't come out of his house to support his workers.
"He stayed inside his home for four days and didn't even come out for a single day," said Khawaja Asif. What sort of a leader is he? He only wants his workers to stick their necks out for him," said the Defence Minister.
Khawaja Asif said that the stance of the government had been vindicated since it had written to the Supreme Court six months earlier to conduct an impartial inquiry regarding the Panama Leaks controversy.
On the question of whether the government would accept the verdict given by the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding the Panama Leaks controversy, Khawaja Asif replied in the affirmative.
Asif condemned the language used by PTI chief Imran Khan and said that in pursuance of his own personal agenda, the cricketer-turned-politician crossed all limits.
