Sindh declares ‘Diwali’ holiday only for Hindus on Monday

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah wishing happy Diwali to Hindu community has announced `Monday’ as holiday for them.
He said that the `Diwali’ was falling on Sunday which is already a public holiday, therefore “I am giving you Monday as holiday. This is a gift of PPP government for you,” he told the Hindu Community living in the province.

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said “I am with you in Diwali celebrations, enjoy yourself with your family, with your relatives and with community and we are with you,” he said.
He directed Chief Secretary Siddique Memon to issue necessary notification for Monday as Diwali holiday only Hindus.
