KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department killed three alleged militants in Karachi during an operation on Thursday.
According to details disclosed by CTD SSP Junaid Sheikh, all three militants who were gunned down belonged to banned outfits. The three suspected militants were killed by the CTD officials due to an exchange of fire between the two sides.
The encounter took place at Korangi causeway after CTD received a tip-off from intelligence sources of the presence of militants in the area.
Meanwhile, Karachi police also rounded up 53 suspects from various parts of the city, which included the Baloch colony and Saddar areas.
