KARACHI: Police conducted a search operation in the city during the wee hours of Thursday and took into custody fifty-three suspects, among which also included two Afghan nationals in Karachi's Saddar and Baloch colony areas.
According to police officials, the operation was conducted in Baloch colony's Junejo Town and Dada Bhai Town as well as other areas. After conducting a thorough search of the area, police officials took into custody thirty-five suspects. Police apprehended the suspects via door to door searches. The suspects were taken to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
On the other hand, police conducted another search operation in Saddar's Preedy area, during which residential hotels and houses. Eighteen suspects were taken into custody, which also included two Afghan nationals.
LEAs are busy cracking down on militants and terrorists in the metropolis. On Wednesday night, Rangers killed three alleged militants in Baldia Ittehad Town. Weapons and ammunition had also been recovered from the suspected militants.
