ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said Javed Sadiq, a Canadian businessman of Pakistani origin, has been acting as frontman of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and made billions of rupees in commission.
Speaking to media, The PTI chief also brandished papers that he claimed corroborated his claim. The PTI chief said Sadiq was Shahbaz Sharif’s frontman and had received Rs 15 billion in commission to date. He also released pictures of Sadiq, vowing to reveal a new scandal before his November 2 protest in the federal capital.
He alleged that the businessman made huge commission in different projects undertaken by the N-League government.
“Our rulers think corruption is legal and protest is illegal,” Khan said, adding that IMF chief had warned that no investment would flow into Pakistan until corruption is eliminated.
Speaking to Geo News, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah rejected the allegations and said Javed Sadiq worked for a Chinese company and he had nothing to do with matters other than his own company.
