KARACHI: Sindh Rangers conducted an operation in Karachi on Tuesday night, killing three alleged militants as two officials of the paramilitary force were also injured.
According to details, Sindh Rangers conducted an operation in Karachi's restive Ittehad Town area. During the operation, a gun battle ensued between the paramilitary force and alleged militants of the area. Sindh Rangers shot dead three suspected militants as two security officials were also injured in the exchange of fire.
Rangers spokesperson stated that weapons and ammunition were seized from the militants after they had been killed. He also disclosed that bodies of the alleged terrorists as well as the weapons seized were handed over to Karachi police. The identities of the slain militants could be ascertained. The injured Rangers officials were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
On the other hand, a person who had been injured as a result of a firing incident in Orangi Town number 12 area, succumbed to his wounds and died.
Security officials have conducted raids in Ittehad Town and captured militants from the area in the past as well.
