Ibad 'disappointed' at unpleasant language in verbal spat with Kamal
KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan said on Friday that he was disappointed at the unpleasant language he had used a couple of days ago in response to allegations posed by PSP chief Mustafa Kamal.
"I consider such statements harmful for my integrity," he said, referring to the harsh verbal spat he had with Pak Sarzameen Party chief Mustafa Kamal during the last couple of days.
Ishratul Ibad Khan said that he was disappointed at the harsh language he had in the verbal dual between him and Kamal. Ibad said that he considered such statements harmful for himself as well as Sindh.
The Governor of Sindh was on a visit to Lucky Star and Empress Market along with Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra.
"My presence here is subject to the law and constitution," he said. "As long as I remain at this post, I will continue to follow the law and the constitution," he added.
He further said that the post of Governor of Sindh demanded that he remain neutral.
PSP chief Mustafa Kamal had said harsh words for Ishratul Ibad when he said that the Governor of Sindh was against the prosperity of Sindh and referred to him as 'Rishwatul Ibad'. Kamal had also called on the federal government to put Ibad's name on the ECL and have him investigated for various crimes.
Ishratul Ibad replied by stating that Mustafa Kamal was under severe mental stress and pressure.
"He is in severe mental pressure. He remained senator for two years and then left the country under fears of arrest," the Sindh Governor had claimed.
