MULTAN: After a heated argument between a husband and a wife, the former shot the latter to death on Thursday night and fled from the crime scene.
Police disclosed that the murder took place in Multan's Jalalpur Pirwala Tehsil's Mansoor Pur. The suspect, whose name is Abid, had married his wife one year ago and had disputes with his wife frequently. On Thursday, another one of their disputes seemingly got out of hand as Abid shot his wife to death in a fit of rage.
After committing the crime, Abid fled the scene of the crime in order to evade arrest. Relatives of the deceased protested outside the Saddar police station against the murder and demanded Abid be arrested for the alleged murder.
Police stated that an investigation was being conducted into the matter.
