SHIKARPUR: Pakistan Peoples Party's candidate Imtiaz Sheikh won the PS-11 by-election held on Thursday, according to unofficial and unconfirmed results.
According to unofficial results of Shikarpur's PS-11 by-election, PPP's Imtiaz Sheikh came first by securing 36,200 votes whereas HUI-F's Maulana Nasir Mahmood Soomro was the runner-up, who bagged 265,400 votes. Imtiaz Sheikh's rally was celebrated by Pakistan Peoples Party's workers in a jubilant manner, as scores of party loyalists took to the streets and danced to the beat of drums. Rallies to celebrate the PPP victory were also taken out in Shikarpur by party workers.
This seat had fallen vacant after Imtiaz Sheikh had left PML-F to join PPP.
