Four Pakistani civilians injured in Indian firing along LoC

ISLAMABAD: Four people including two women and as many children were injured on Wednesday as Indian forces opened fire along the Line Of Control (LoC) in violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said on Twitter that the ceasefire violation was committed  by Indian forces in Kerela Sector, which he said “was met by befitting response” from Pakistani forces.

In a string of Tweets, the spokesman said a 3-year old girl and a teenage boy sustained injuries in the Indian firing and were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

He said two women identified as Majeed and Shabnam, residents of Palani village were also injured due to Indian mortar firing.

The injured women, he said, were being treated at the Tehseel Headquarters Hospital Nakial.
