LAHORE: A husband allegedly tortured and beat his pregnant wife to death in the city, on Sunday.
According to details, the tragic incident took place in Lahore's Ichra area. Police revealed that 26 year-old Sundus and her husband Shahbaz had been married since three years and frequently fought with each other.
Police disclosed that on the day of the incident, the couple fought with each other and Shahbaz assaulted his wife, who was pregnant, so severely that she died. After committing the murder, he fled from the crime scene.
Sundus was pregnant and her corpse was sent for postmortem to Jinnah Hospital.
