QUETTA: Key commander Usman Saifullah belonging to a banned outfit was killed in a search operation on Monday in Sariab area of Quetta.
One of Saifullah’s accomplice’s was also killed in the encounter while another was taken into custody.
A Frontier Corps personnel was also killed during the operation while four personnel were injured.
"We have been chasing Usman Saifullah since a long time. We finally got him and he was killed in the exchange of fire," said Akbar Hussain Durrani, Home Secretary of Balochistan.
Durrani said security forces received a tip that Saifullah was having lunch at a restaurant in Quetta.
"Saifullah and his accomplices fired at the forces when they entered the restaurant, and in retaliation was killed along with another accomplice," he said.
