ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said on Friday that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has made India restless.
Addressing a news conference, he said Indian conspiracies to damage the CPEC project are not hidden and arrest of Indian spy from Baluchistan is evidence to it. Indian prime minister and external affairs minister have been making hue and cry since it was launched.
The minister said that Karachi to Peshawar railway line up-gradation project worth $8 billion is underway and it would help improving railways network with fast speed trains. The foundation stone of airport, Expressway and electricity projects in Gwadar will be laid this year.
Under construction Green Line project in Karachi of worth Rs16 billion will be completed by 2017, he added.
Ahsan Iqbal assured to clear reservations of Awami National Party (ANP) regarding the CPEC. He said that soon a meeting will be chaired under the chair of PM Nawaz for security of the project.
