DGMO briefs Standing Committee over security, borders situation
RAWALPINDI: Members of Standing Committee on Defence Production visited GHQ on Thursday where they were briefed on current security situation on borders, entire threat spectrum and operational preparedness of the Army.
According to Inter Services Public Relations, the committee members headed by Chairman of the Standing Committee Khawaja Sohail Mansoor, were welcomed by Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif.
Director General Military Operations (DGMO) briefed the parliamentarians on current security situation on borders, entire threat spectrum and operational preparedness of the Army.
General Raheel and the committee members had detailed discussion on various issues related to national security.
Khawaja Sohail Mansoor thanked COAS on behalf of all visiting members for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to them at GHQ.
He said that entire nation is proud of its valiant armed forces and will always stand behind them during war and peace.
